Following The Word Of God

Most of the time, meditation is associated with Buddhist monks humming in a sitting position. They would also link meditation with bald people in yellow robes contemplating to gain enlightenment. We have to understand that meditation nowadays comes from many other forms. Christians, for example, also practice meditation but in a different process.

The Bible mainly encourages Christians to follow the word of the Lord simply. Always remember that whatever the mind thinks will reflect what the body does. The brain is one powerful organ that gives commands to pretty much all parts of our body. That is why it is important to use the word of God into areas in our lives that can benefit both our personal life and others. This way, we can create a better world.

In the Christian religion, meditation is expressed differently. They do not wear yellow robes, shave their heads nor sit silently to contemplate but rather meditate through deep reflection on the word of God. They also should not veer from the commandments and always treat others with kindness as they do to themselves. All of these are practiced to ensure a place in heaven upon demise and to possess eternal life.

Christian meditation does not solely focus on contemplating the word of God alone but also embedding them into your mind to serve as guidance to live a life without sin. This form of meditation is not really a difficult process. All it takes is a simple prayer that comes from the heart and remembering the lessons from the Bible. Christian meditation can be done three times a day with a corresponding time specification. The first meditation would start right before you go to bed to ensure that God’s teachings bless you even when your body is asleep. The second meditation time would be upon waking up in the morning. This will secure guidance as you go along your day. The third meditation practice can be done at any time of the day to remind you of God’s words.

Lying nor sitting down is not necessary for Christian meditation. What matters is that you genuinely take God’s words in each day you have and perceive them as a path or guidance in your life.

Eventually, you will find out the essential priorities you always wanted to understand when you start practicing Christian meditation. Spending your time wholeheartedly for contemplation on God’s words is all you need. Not long enough, you will learn that you already are living the best life you always envisioned it to be.
