Taking a step today and talking today will help you lead a better tomorrow.

Scope of Service

We provide services to individuals with a diagnose-able mental health/behavioral health disorder. The services are provided in the home or community setting. Our office hours are 9:30am-3:30pm. However, the services provided are scheduled between the client and the case worker assigned to them. Typically, a client will recieve up to three hours per week of the cpst/psr services. We are funded by and accept Medicaid. We do not discriminate against age, sex, religious belief, etc.

Individual Counseling

Have you been feeling down lately? Are you having issues with your self-esteem or your overall view of yourself? Are you looking for someone who can listen to you and not pass judgment about what you are going through? We are here for you. With individual counseling, you will be given guidance in gradually facing your issues. We will be here to support you in understanding your problem and in looking for effective ways to deal and cope with them. Each person who undergoes individual counseling is provided with a personalized treatment plan and sessions are based on their holistic needs and issues in areas that are tackled to promote their mental health. With this service, clients have

Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment

Our psychiatric services treatment adopts a community psychiatric supportive treatment (CPST) approach. This means that your loved one will not only be provided with the services that they need through psychotherapy, but they will also be provided with the proper tools to have a more successful treatment program.
Among the CPST services we provide are the following:
  • Needs evaluation
  • Connections to community resources
  • Symptom monitoring
  • Coordination of care with other professionals
  • Education on managing mental health illness symptoms
  • Support with practicing skills that are introduced during counseling sessions

Psycholocial Rehabilitation

Psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) services are designed to assist the individual with compensating for or eliminating functional deficits and interpersonal and/or environmental barriers associated with their mental illness. Activities included must be intended to achieve the identified goals or objectives as set forth in the individual’s individualized treatment plan. The intent of PSR is to restore the fullest possible integration of the individual as an active and productive member of his or her family, community and/or culture with the least amount of ongoing professional intervention. PSR is a face-to-face intervention with the individual present. Services may be provided individually or in a group setting

Medication Management

Medication management is a level of outpatient treatment that involves the initial evaluation of the patient’s need for psychotropic medications, the provision of a prescription, and ongoing medical monitoring related to the patient’s use of the psychotropic medication by a qualified physician/prescriber. Medication management includes monitoring, reconciling medications, and ensuring patients get the desired outcomes. It requires a thorough review of prescribed drugs and their possible side effects to create treatment plans and monitor their safety and efficacy.

Psychological Evaluations

A psychological evaluation is a mental health assessment, where a professional, such as a licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, psychologist, or psychiatrist checks to see if you are experiencing a mental health problem. This evaluation generally involves a verbal conversation where you would answer questions verbally and complete a questionnaire if needed. It becomes the first step taken towards getting the mental health help that you desire.

This evaluation helps determine the exact nature and extent of a person’s mental illness. Using a variety of evaluation tools, mental health professionals can gain insight into a person’s personality. At no point in the process are you being judge, rather, we are working to help you understand and manage any issues or symptoms impacting your life.

Think of these types of assessments as serving the same purpose of medical tests. If you have physical symptoms, for instance, a doctor may order blood work or X-rays to better understand the cause of the symptoms and help inform an effective treatment plan. Psychological evaluations serve the same purpose, as mental health professionals use these tools to measure and observe your behavior to diagnose and treat specific issues.

Life Coach

Our vision is to help you bring your desired results into reality. Our coaches work with clients one on one or in groups to help them manifest successful change in their lives. We help our clients structure and focus on a goal or goals using specific skills and strategies to achieve them. Our approach is built on the principal that everyone has the answers to the questions they seek. Our coaches help draw out those answers and help people live their lives to the fullest. We spend time working with our clients to create change by addressing challenges, trying new strategies and taking action based on specific interactive processes done with each individual. We cannot and do not make any guarantees about your ability to get results with our ideas, information, or tools. However, we believe in our methods and we believe in you. We are here to support you in making the changes you want for your life and will provide you methods, strategies, and ideas that will help to move you in the direction of satisfactory results.

Parenting Groups

Our parenting groups are taught by Certified Parent Educators using a course known as Positive Discipline. Positive Discipline teaches important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults (including parents, teachers, childcare providers, youth workers, and others).
Recent research tells us that children are hardwired from birth to connect with others, and that children who feel a sense of connection to their community, family, and school are less likely to misbehave. To be successful, contributing members of their community, children must learn necessary social and life skills. Positive Discipline is based on the understanding that discipline must be taught and that discipline teaches. The tools and concepts of Positive Discipline include:

  • Mutual respect. Adults model firmness by respecting themselves and the needs of the situation, and kindness by respecting the needs of the child.
  • Identifying the belief behind the behavior. Effective discipline recognizes the reasons kids do what they do and works to change those beliefs, rather than merely attempting to change behavior.
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills.
  • Discipline that teaches (and is neither permissive nor punitive).Focusing on solutions instead of punishment.
  • Encouragement (instead of praise). Encouragement notices effort and improvement, not just success, and builds long-term self-esteem and empowerment.

Parents sometimes feel they are “bad parents” or they can’t raise kids and
sometimes the shame and embarrassment will prevent them from talking to
other parents about their ordeal or fears. Others feel they are the only ones
having a hard time and believe that other parents have “perfect”
relationships with their kids which might not be entirely true.

Our parenting group therapy assures parents that they are not alone, they
get to talk to others who understand the challenges as a parent, emotions,
and realities they are dealing with. We create a safe, supportive,
non-judgmental, and confidential environment for parents to blow off their
steam. Our parenting counseling reminds our clients that there are no
perfect parents or perfect kids.
